The Andrew Foundation is a small non-for-profit organization established by Priscilla Pelzer, in loving memory of her dear beloved cousin Andrew Boyles, who was diagnosed with HIV in 1992 when the public knew very little about the virus. In a very short period of time, he virus spread rampant, and shocked the world! people infected with the virus became outcast, and felt angry and deserted, which was very humiliating to them. But Andrew never showed these emotions. He lived with dignity, a dignity to be admired. Andrew lived and died happily. Knowing he was dying, he lived the last days of his life with courage, stamina and charm. He never missed a day without a smile on his beautiful face. Andrew's courage uplifted all of his family, and friends, who truly admired and loved him. He was truly an inspiration to everyone who came in contact with. He was a real jewel, and there were no others like him. Prior to succumbing to the virus, he was an advocate for helping others. He |
participated in activities that were supportive of any type of illness, but especially HIV/AIDS. The Andrew Foundation was organized to keep his legacy alive. The goal of The Andrew Foundation is to assist and encourage individuals infected with HIV/AIDS, to live life to the fullest, and to HELP others affected by theHIV/AIDS virus because Jesus has already paid the price. |
